Who are you❔

So, who are you?

You are the Observer. You are the one who watches it all—the sensations in your body, the thoughts in your mind, and the emotions that arise. You are the consciousness, the awareness, the eternal energy, or what some might call the Intelligence, the One, God, or the Lord. Whatever name resonates with you, the essence remains the same. You are the unchanging presence, eternal, indestructible consciousness that witnesses it all.

Why Does This Matter?
Understanding this truth is liberating. When you create even a small amount of space between your true self and your body, thoughts, and feelings, life becomes lighter. Why? Because you no longer react to everything as though it is you. You begin to see the temporary nature of life’s challenges and joys, and this perspective gives you peace and creates a powerful energy behind everything you do. When you identify as the Observer, you realize that the chaos of the outside world—and yes, even your thoughts and feelings—belongs to the external. Your true self, the observer, remains untouched and serene.

How Can You Practice This?
Here’s a simple yet powerful technique you can try: talk to your monkey mind. The next time your mind is racing with worries or judgments, gently acknowledge it. Say, “Thank you for sharing, delete, delete, delete” and let it pass without attaching to it. Imagine your thoughts as clouds in the sky, drifting by while you remain rooted like the vast sky itself. The more you practice this, the easier it becomes to connect with your inner Observer. Again – why is this useful to do? Whatever you do in response to your outside world or in order to achieve any of your goals will be so much more empowered because you are NOT doing it out of “ego”, out of your disturbed mind, but out of awareness, presence.

The Gift of Awareness
As this year draws to a close, I encourage you to gift yourself the awareness of who you truly are. You are not your circumstances, your successes, or your failures. You are the eternal presence that has been with you through it all, steady and unchanging. This realization is the foundation for a life of freedom and joy.
